The Office of Hydrogen Power South Australia oversees the design and delivery of the South Australian Government’s Hydrogen Jobs Plan, including the early procurement, contracting and construction stages of the hydrogen production, hydrogen power plant and hydrogen storage facilities, being built near Whyalla.
Led by Sam Crafter, Chief Executive Officer, this high performing team has extensive experience in delivering a number of key South Australian Government energy initiatives; including the world’s largest battery at the time of construction - the Hornsdale Power Reserve; the $100m Home Battery Scheme; the $50m Grid Scale Storage Fund; and South Australia’s Virtual Power Plant.
Hydrogen Power South Australia, a new government enterprise, will be established to own and operate the hydrogen power plant.
